StrengtHening comPEtences in financiaL literacy and debt issues on the way to citizens (HELP)

 

The main activity of the project is to provide online debt counselling by creating a web application where clients can submit their questions. We consider this approach important, as it is an easier and more accessible way to solve problems. It is a discreet, free, and impartial counselling service.

 

The project focuses primarily on online debt counselling. Clients therefore have the opportunity to resolve their problems remotely. This form of counselling is more convenient and accessible for clients in terms of time, privacy, and distance. The client receives a reply to their inquiry from the counselling centre within 7 business days at the latest. If the situation requires it and it is a more complex situation that requires a face-to-face meeting, the counselling centre offers the client a consultation appointment.
 
Another activity is training advisors through educational workshops with the aim of increasing the effectiveness and improving the quality of debt counselling services.
 
The project also aims to raise awareness in society about the importance of debt counselling, inform indebted clients, and facilitate the exchange of experiences and good practices between debt counselors and other participants with the aim of improving the provision of debt-related services to clients. The goal is achieved by organizing dissemination seminars, which provide a space for meeting and networking and exchanging experiences between different participants.
 

 

The project deliverable also produced an Analysis of the Czech legislative environment, which was compiled on the basis of data monitored by the nationwide network of the Association of Civic Counselling Centres, and a Consumer Needs Assessment Report. Both documents are available for download on this website.

The project partner is the Institute for Regional Development, o.p.s.
